ABOUT

My academic design journey began at the University of Glasgow where I completed a masters degree in Mechanical Design Engineering, a remarkably fulfilling course that honed my technical design skills. During my final year, I was fortunate enough to secure a six-month placement with a bespoke bicycle frame manufacturer in London. It was here that I undertook my final year project, a venture focused on designing a cutting edge bicycle frame using a relatively unexplored manufacturing method. This experience seamlessly blended my passions for cycling and aesthetically focussed engineering design, making it a truly dreamlike project.

Since graduating, I have spent 2 years in the captivating world of lighting design. I've had the privilege of contributing to some of the most prestigious residential and hospitality projects both in London and globally. Despite stepping away from role as a lighting designer, I took with me the passion I developed for high quality lighting, interior design and architecture. The attention to detail required for the role is something that I aim to reflect now in all my industrial design and 3D design projects.

Now working as a freelancer, I have had the opportunity to work with two of London's most renowned custom bike manufacturers, Saffron Frameworks and Quirk Cycles whilst also working on several lighting projects. Although lighting and cycling are two fairly dissimilar industries, the design and manufacturing experience gained from each side has been a great help in developing my industrial design knowledge.
